2019 Maserati Quattroporte Review with Price, Specs & Photos

About the Maserati Quattroporte

In 1963, Maserati challenged the status quo by putting a racing engine into an executive luxury sedan which would eventually become its flagship sedan, the Quattroporte. 50 years later, the Maserati Quattroporte (Quattroporte translating to “four door” in Italian) is the grand-touring sedan of the future.

With impressive size at well over 5 meters, the Quattroporte offers ample interior room and legroom. Even at this size, it still boasts a dynamic and balanced appearance. The traditional and historic three air vents are featured along the sides of the car and frameless doors provide the appearance that the Quattroporte is a sleek coupe.

What the Critics Say

“Premium full-size sedan shoppers will be drawn to the Maserati Quattroporte’s impressive performance and handling, distinct styling inside and out, and beautiful engine sound.
– Motortrend

“The Maserati Quattroporte is more than a deceptively sexy name; it’s a beautiful, performance-oriented Italian luxury car endowed with ample power, sharp handling and two impressive transmissions that make it the closest thing you can get to a Ferrari sedan.
– Edmunds

The Quattroporte certainly stands out from the crowd and is designed to reflect the discerning tastes of high-achieving individuals. The 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox provides precise shifting with software that is able to recognize how the car is being driven and modifies the shifting for each driver. There are also five operating modes for any weather conditions. The Maserati Skyhook system has continuous damping variations which allows the car to be comfortable and still handle like a sports car.

Engine Choices

The Quattroporte features two twin-turbocharged engines: the 404 horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 that comes in the S and S Q4, as well as the 523 horsepower, 3.8-liter V8 which comes in the Quattroporte GTS. Each Quattroporte engine is built by Ferrari and engineered by Maserati.

The cabin in the Quattroporte features a minimalist design and unsurpassed refinement. You’ll enjoy a peaceful and quiet drive thanks to double-laminated acoustic glass. Italian leather, unique stitching combinations, and hand-fitted wood or carbon-fiber help create a comfortable environment along with 12-way power adjustable front seats and multifunction steering wheel. The rear fits 3 people comfortably in hand-stitched leather and asymmetrically fold.

Technology and Safety

The Quattroporte features advanced safety technology like six dual-stage airbags, active headrests, and the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that helps prevent collisions. The vehicle also features blind spot alert, rear cross-path detection, forward-collision warning, and lane-departure systems.

The central console of the Quattroporte includes the new Maserati MTC 8.4″ touchscreen. This infotainment system allows you to connect to Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto, and available Bowers & Wilkins Premium Sound.

Two unique trim packages in addition to a restyled grille, new LED light clusters in the rear of the vehicle, and newly designed front and rear bumpers help the Quattroporte stand out from the ordinary.
